All about net neutrality

   

Net Neutrality refers to the principle that Internet service providers and governments should treat all data on the Internet as equal. This means they shouldn't discriminate or change differentially by user, content, site, platform, application, type of attached equipment or mode of communication. Just to explain the concept I will take one analogy like what if electricity board charges you separately for using electricity for all appliances except inverter and charges separately to charge inverter. Similarly telecom service providers are coming out with the different business plan due to which they are controlling the use of internet. The similar kind of oppose to net neutrality telecom regulators facing now was faced in USA decade ago. I think from my point of view TRAI should not allow differential pricing of services on the Internet & let the consumers choose how they want to use Internet.
