Future of Live streaming over mobile

There are many live-streaming mobile apps available such as #Qik , #Meerkat , #Periscope , #YouNow etc. which can effectively turn a smartphone into a broadcaster. Though the number of users using these apps are limited because of few technology limitations, these applications have bright future as these apps can be used in multiple ways to connect with the audience. We can share some of the beautiful moments of our life with our loved ones through live streaming and even this can be an alternative to the live news coverage system as anyone can shoot the incidence and share it with their contacts. There are few technical and design challenges currently faced by these live stream application developers along with different license issues and data storage permissions.

Most of the companies are using multiple cloud but then the hybrid cloud concept came into picture wherein companies can simultaneously use public and private cloud and over to hybrid cloud it has become more intelligent because of its digital focus and it acts like a connective tissue to different business processes and will drive the business outcomes . The move towards intelligent hybrids will be driven by the ongoing move by vendors to provide software as a service rather than as applications to be downloaded. Accenture came up with this concept of Intelligent business cloud and currently its development is underway , so will be worth watching their approach in driving businesses.

Intranet or Enterprise Social Network (ESN)

Earlier intranet was mainly used to store and share the documents with the employees of the organization but now the organizations are evolving in real sense and going towards more social . Enterprise Social Network is the new thing which is replacing intranet by giving employees more access to information and increasing collaboration in a way increasing the employee engagement. Increasing content on such portals making it difficult for employees to search the right information with ease and simplicity, so it would be difficult to say ESN will completely replace Intranet but yes ESN will surely evolve and will provide more functionalities along with document storage .

Five points to consider to save Big data projects from failure

It has been observed that almost 50% of the Bid Data projects fail due to various reasons and the company has to incur big losses from this failure . There are few reasons of failure of these projects some of them are lack of business objective as to why the business needs Big data , most of the companies go for these projects because their competitors are doing it  “me too!” attitude , mismanagement is one of the biggest mistakes companies does , poor communication and poor representation of findings and last but not the least is finding right resource for this project because data analytics is misunderstood by many people and the resource having real knowledge of this technology is very costly .

New Cloud Data storage service from Google named Nearline

Earlier it was only offline storage where in companies used to store all their business related records natively and then technology evolved online and cold storage came into picture , in online storage all the data is stored online at unknown location and cold storage is the data storage facility of old data such as past customer records , old e-mail  records etc.  Google recently came up with a new cloud storage service Nearline which will be used to store data which is not frequently needed and that data can be accessed anytime with the response time of 3 second and this service is costing much cheaper than the competitors such as Amazon’s Glacier at $0.01 per GB. This service will be useful for ISV’s and Enterprises to migrate their offline storage to cloud at much cheaper cost and scalability.

Smart use of Animation in developing Mobile Applications

Everyone knows how different objects work in real life and they want the software applications to work in a similar fashion because it would be easy for individuals to understand the application in a better way. Confidentiality integrity and availability (CIA) approach should always be there in designing any application along with that simplicity, responsiveness and attractiveness are the important factors. Out of the millions applications available on App store only few applications became successful , so use good design and aesthetics but not to try bringing out something out of the world animation which would be difficult to use for new users .

Wearable devices becoming more smarter !

Most of the reputed watch manufacturers have understood the trends in the technology and started modifying their strategy by going digital . Companies such as Fossil , Mondaine , Apple , Sony , Tag Heuer, Swatch etc. have already started making the digital watches . Wearable devises are the best example of the combination of Design and Technology wherein the technology plays a curtail role in full filling the users requirements and design takes care of look and feel of the product . Watches are becoming smarter by the advanced technology used such as  inbuilt sensors , interactive digital interface , interaction with mobile and other devices and the inbuilt operating system . It would be challenging for these companies to make watches replace mobiles in near future , but will be worth watching the technology war .
